6. IZEA – IZEA works in addition to a blog or on its own. You get paid to blog, tweet, take photos and take videos. The pay is mostly based on your following, so if you want to make money with your tweets, you’ll need to grow you Twitter following.  Likewise, if you want to make money with blogs, you’ll need substantial blog traffic (more on blogging below).
If you don’t know what to make your first website about, a fun first project could be building a website for your new side business: freelancing websites for others. After all, once you’re done with the first four lessons, you’ll be qualified to build fairly basic, but professional looking websites. Then you can start charging people $500 per website to make yourself some extra money! When I first learned how to make a website with WordPress, I used to post my services on Craigslist daily, and I would get at least two to three gigs per month. You can simply make your website YourName.com or YourNameWebsiteCreationServices.com. If you decide to go this route, here is some freelancing advice to help you get started. :)
Creating your own food blog, will not only be fun but done well it should also be profitable. Link your site to affiliate cooking products, sell your food photos, create and sell your own physical cookbook, or launch a cooking app. Equally, you could turn your cooking blog into a membership site. You would then share all your content, including recipes, how to videos, food photographs, and much more, with only your paid up members.

Clearly, there's a lot of demand on Amazon, and if any product is going to sell, it's going to sell well on Amazon. But the goal here is to source the right products that will easily sell at the world's largest online retailer. Generally, products between $10 and $50 sell very well here. Just be sure to do the right market research before jumping on this bandwagon.
For the premium course. you can charge your customers more and consider using payment plans (installments) where you can either pay once or pay for up to six months or yearly. You can go premium when you offer exclusive content or more extended course offering more features or an advantaged course e.g. towards winning a certification in the medical field, etc.
If you are a professional photographer or have a real flair for photography, then selling your images on other sites could be an idea. This could be done alongside your own photography site, as it is a good way to help get your work viewed by a wider audience. There are numerous stock image websites to contribute to, but choosing a popular high-end site like Shutterstock should ensure your photographs make you some money.
With Nielsen, you can make an easy $50 per year just to keep their app on your devices. The app collects anonymous usage statistics. It’s also low impact, so it won’t take up space or reduce the speed you get on your browsing device. You’ll earn $50 for the first year that you have the app installed. You don’t need to change your habits. You don’t need to write reports. Just download the app and earn!

If you want to clear some space out in your house and have a big stack of books you’ve been holding onto for too long, you can make money selling your books and textbooks online. Stores like Half Priced Books and others will give you cents on the dollar for each of your current books while you can check what your book is worth by simply entering the ISBN number on Book Scouter.

Blogging matters. There is no secret that having a blog has many benefits. Apart from bringing traffic on your site, a blog can promote your online school and courses in a unique way than any other online tool can’t. A blog builds brand authority by positioning you as an industry leader, it prepares your audience for product launches, helps to support your social media strategy providing you with useful content and brings inbound links that strengthen your SEO efforts.

Howdy, I'm Neil from sunny old England in the UK! I'm a huge Peaky Blinders + Marvel/DC superhero fan (my site kinda gives it away lol). I enjoy hiking, gym, and personal development - books and anything that's motivational/inspirational. But my biggest passion is helping folks - especially to earn an income online for living life on their terms. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime!
Additionally, I would recommend building a freelancing website as a side business (making websites for others), especially at the beginning while you are just starting to develop your passive income portfolio. This is a good way to consistently make some fast cash too (just two gigs per month will make you an extra $1000). Some freelancing advice on how I used to do it can be found here: http://mikeomarphotography.com/freelancing-advice/
The second problem was the final night of the launch, I had a problem with payments going through. It’s still unclear why. But this is the worst time to have payment problems. I still have many payments outstanding that show $0 earnings, which is why I titled this post $5k and didn’t give the exact number at first – I didn’t know the total until the following day! I even had 2-3 people have to wait to buy until the day after the launch. Really terrible timing!
There are numerous printing companies that will print your designs onto not just T-shirts, but also hoodies, hats, posters, cushions, bags, and phone cases, to name a few items. These businesses also offer fulfillment services. This means that you promote the merchandise on your own site and once you sell a product the printing company will not only print your design but also send the item directly to the buyer. So all you have to do is concentrate on the marketing and selling of your products, and the fulfillment company will take care of the rest.

My next self-funded business hit $160,000 in revenue in its first year alone. After that first taste of self-made success, I’ve gone on to sign consulting contracts worth tens of thousands of dollars with startups like LinkedIn and Google, launch profitable online courses, and build a following of hundreds of thousands for this blog and my podcast series.

MemberPress is a feature-rich plugin that will enable you to turn your WordPress blog into a fully functional membership site. Creating and selling courses could be more than just an online business you started one or two years ago. In fact, years from now, if you are committed to it and truly believe that you can make a strong impact through teaching your favorite subject, you could be the next Chris Anderson – the curator of TED (Technology, Education, Design) conferences, in the eyes of future generations!
Better yet, you can even upload your own book to one of the world’s largest book sellers: Amazon. With Amazon self-publishing, you set the price, retain the rights to your book, and get access to Amazon’s massive audience. For every sale, you keep 70% with Amazon taking the remainder as a fee. Who knows, you might just write one of the best business books of this year!
Being an online freelance writer is one type of skill that you can use to make money online. But there are a wide variety of other skills that can be used in a similar manner. Every website and blog on the Internet needs technical skills. This can include graphic design, web design, search engine optimization, social media marketing and promotion, content editing, and so much more.
YouTube is becoming more popular in e-learning practices for the reason that it offers the best way of transmitting information for educational purposes. With YouTube, you can create a channel promoting your online school and online courses, or create a list of tutorials or instructional videos. Also, you can upload your own live training events – webinars, for your audience to watch and always keep them up to date with what you are doing.
It’s why our customers, who are just normal people, have made upwards of six figures in just a month while launching their courses. It’s why the best content marketers (like Seth Godin, Marie Forleo, Noah Kagan) are selling courses. It’s why there was $2.51 billion invested in educational-technology companies during the first half of 2015 (according to InsideHigherEd).
When I spent my year building 160 websites like a madman, it taught me more than any class ever could. Also remember that I had nobody to ask questions when I got stuck and I believe this is what made me successful in the end; it forced me to experiment and just move forward. You really don't need anything more than what is taught in the video series; that will give you your entire foundation and from there you can take this business in all kinds of directions.
Amazon Mechanical Turk is a service that lets you make money online through doing paid microtasks. Wow. I have followed your blogging from the start Matthew, you have done some epic posts over this time but this one is just immense. It is the most comprehensive list I have seen although the term ‘list’ does not do it justice. I am still checking out some of the resources you added and will probably still be going through them at Christmas . Great job mate.

Balfour did all the filming and editing for her courses by herself. But it wasn’t easy. “The most difficult aspect is the video editing,” she says. “Like most people, I didn’t initially understand how to shoot video the right size, how to export it, upload it, and fix the noise.” She used the screen recording and video editing software Camtasia, which she describes as “pretty user-friendly, but it did take time.” All of her videos are screencasts – videos of her computer screen – but if you’re planning to do a “talking head” style video, you may want to hire a professional crew. “Those are more complex,” she says, “so I’d suggest you go into a studio and get good lighting and audio.”

I was searching in Google to find out either is John Crestani a scam or legit and landed here. I’m very happy to find your article. You have explained well about John Crestani program. Thanks for letting us know that we have to pay additional costs, not only $47 in order to fully understand the affiliate marketing system there. So even John Crestani offers good training, then also I think I will skip it since those additional fees are too high for me. I think I will go after your recommendation. So, there is not any additional fee that I’ve to pay in Wealthy Affiliate, right?
I was about to pull out my credit card to give this one a try, but when I reach that part of your article where you said John is promoting MOBE, it’s like cold water was poured on me. Just recently, Digital Altitude was ordered by United States Federal Trade Commission to cease its operation because of misrepresentation with their claims. Also, a lot of people are getting hurt of the expenses courses in their upsells. Who knows, one of these days, the authorities will shift focus on MOBE and restrict it too?

At this point, you will need to write down your learning goals and objectives. Learning goals are the general statements that you create and define what your course is all about and what it can do for your students. Whereas, ‘learning objectives’ or ‘learning outcomes’ tend to be more specific and more measurable in terms of what you expect your students to learn and be able to do once they complete the course.
The way that I personally make money online is through my affiliate marketing business. I own websites like this one, DogFoodInsider.com, , SharkSider.com, and several others that earn me a passive income every day. If you take a look at those websites, you’ll see that they weren’t something I simply set up over a weekend. These have taken time and effort to grow, just like any legitimate business.
This is what course bundles are for. If you want to give it a go with bundles, get a few together in a category such as “Life Skills Bundle” at a total discounted price. If you bundle together 5 courses X 50$ each, you can offer them for a discounted price of 200$, and there you have it – you have just sold five courses in the price of four instead of one. If you want to learn how to do this yourself, read our very own guide on How to Create a Course Bundle.
