In addition to the wide range of websites you can submit your articles to, you can also opt to have your own website(s) within the system (as long as they are on the WordPress platform). With your websites within the system, you can accept guest posts from bloggers who also use PostRunner. In other words, you are also on the other side of the process - receiving articles instead of submitting them.
It’s funny – most businesses take 3 to 5 years to even see the first penny in profit, but when people want to make money online, they want it to come immediately. As I mentioned before, maybe you’ll be one of the lucky few who are able to make money online fast, but for most people, you’ll need to try things out and fail a bunch of times before you find success. When it comes to affiliate marketing specifically, I usually tell people it will take 6 to 12 months of solid work before they can expect to see much of anything in return.
Take good pictures. Creating your own food blog, will not only be fun but done well it should also be profitable. Link your site to affiliate cooking products, sell your food photos, create and sell your own physical cookbook, or launch a cooking app. Equally, you could turn your cooking blog into a membership site. You would then share all your content, including recipes, how to videos, food photographs, and much more, with only your paid up members.
So from there things went downhill – and eventually the understandable drop in John’s work ethic & lack of enthusiasm for the company resulted in him getting fired from that marketing firm… But it was no big deal to John, as he had been busy hustling away on the side & getting clients of his own… Which is when (and how) his career as a solopreneur started.
Giving presentations is another effective way that helps to connect with and expand your audience with the prospect to get more course sales. Simply, come up with an interesting subject (preferably what you do and know best), and use your public speaking skills at local events – seminars, conferences or Meetup groups. But remember, you will need to come up with a speech that inspires and speaks well to your audience.
On many of these platforms you do have the opportunity for students to leave reviews. We all know the power of reviews due to sites like Amazon. Reviews are extremely powerful and provide social proof that helps in driving more sales and profits. But to get good reviews don’t overthink things. Number one, focus on creating the highest quality and valuable content that you can on your topic. Then next you can prompt students at various points throughout the course to take action and leave a positive review or rating if they have enjoyed the content inside, to help encourage others to enroll. You can also incentivize them in some way in exchange for a review, like sending them a content upgrade or free report, video or interview. That’s really all I’ve ever done. Keep it simple.
The best approach is to invest little bit of money like 5 or 10 bucks into the ad. You set your ad in a way that it will target only very specific audience. Facebook allows you to do so. Once the ad is done you check the results. Based on results you can then change approach or if you are satisfy with results, you can even increase the investment to target even bigger audience.
Hi Dara, that’s a great question. I started with 2 affiliates sites at the same time, this one and another in the leadership niche each promoting different training courses I thought were worthwhile. I worked solidly for a year before I reached the $1,000 per month mark and then a couple of hours a day (admittedly with a few gaps) and reached $6,000 after 3 years.
Now, it’s time to start creating and uploading content. Make sure you’re using a high-enough quality camera (most smartphones will work but I’d suggest at least having a tripod so your footage isn’t shaky), but don’t worry about being perfect at first. The beauty of YouTube is that you can continue to test out different content and styles as you find what works for you. Instead, stick to a regular schedule to build up your subscriber base.
E-books represent about 20 percent of all book sales in the U.S. The good news is you don’t have to be a publisher with deep pockets to get in on the action. As a solo internet entrepreneur, you can sell ebooks directly from your own website. You can sell your own works or sell a public domain work. Simply upload it to your website (or seller account on Amazon) and start publicizing it on your social media platforms, on your email list, your blog, website, etc.
Signing up with Google AdSense will enable you to make money from advertising on your blog. Google AdSense will place relevant ads around your site, and if your site visitors click on these ads, you will earn a fee. Although each click only amounts to small change, if your blog has high levels of traffic and lots of page views this will quickly amount to a reasonable sum.
Amazon Mechanical Turk is a service that lets you make money online through doing paid microtasks. Each task is something simple that requires human interaction like rating search results, checking for the right spelling on search terms, categorizing the tone of an article, or even basic translating. You can do these tasks from anywhere you want and make money online from the world’s largest e-retailer.
If you have a good idea for an app, and the skills to create it, then producing your own premium app can be profitable. However, with so many free apps available, it may be hard to convince people to pay. If you want to go down the premium app route, consider having a basic free version to encourage people to download the app in the first place. You can then provide the option of upgrading to a premium plan once users realize how useful the app is.
The second mistake worth mentioning is that my email list includes a lot of people who followed me when I wrote more about budgeting, so the match wasn’t 100% aligned. I’ve asked people to unsubscribe who aren’t into the new “design your dream life” theme of my blog, but many still remain. This is totally fine from a content perspective, but it just means that selling to this list is harder.

Looking in the comment section under the module video I can see that Facebook pages shared mostly all have a couple of likes at best and some don’t even load as they have been left too rot and be deactivated. Is that because they didn’t ask enough of their friends to like their page? Maybe it’s because they didn’t write a post every single day or is it because there was actually no good advice in this module.

Become an Amazon Associate and then use Keyword planner to find an in-demand niche: With more than a million different products to choose from and up to 10% commission the sales you drive, Amazon’s affiliate program is a great place to get started. Browse their available products and see what connects with you. Or take it a step further and use Google’s Keyword Planner to quickly check how many people are searching for a specific term. With affiliate marketing, the more relevant traffic you can pull in, the more you’ll make off your site.
Creating an online course can be a substantial time investment. “In my opinion, it takes about the same amount of time as writing a book,” says Balfour. “Of course, if you’ve already written a book and are doing a course about it, it takes a fraction of that time. Research other listings in your city on AirBnB and see what the going rate is for a place like yours. You could also just rent out a private room as well or even a bed in a shared room. In fact, that's how AirBnB got its start. However, you might find it hard in the beginning without reviews, but as long as you take really good care of your guests and provide a lot of value, the reviews will eventually come rolling in.
My tip: Have one main credit card. Have a second one that you use for necessities – such as groceries or gas – that offers rewards for those purchases (a lot of cards do) and set the second one on auto-pay. You should be able to pay off a smaller amount on auto-pay if it is a necessity. If you think you cannot, then you may need to cut down a lot on expenses.
I don’t like programs like MOBE and Digital Altitude, the way you have to buy into certain levels just to be able to earn the affiliate commission. And how do they justify the prices when there is more affordable training that can give you the same end result? I was a bit taken back too when I saw that Crestani was promoting it and so prominently in the members area of his training program.
